Expertise
Christopher Burgos is a Managing Partner at Diamond State Financial Group. His designations include, Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Certified Funds Specialist (CFS). He graduated from the University of Delaware with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management and a minor in Economics. Chris has earned his Life, Health and Ethics licenses and his Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65 registrations. Chris is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc.

He is a graduate of GAMA’s “The Essentials of Management Development” program, received the GAMA International Career Development Award and Securian’s Agency Management Award. In 2010, he was one of the first recipients of GAMA International’s Brian H. Early Frontline Excellence Award and was cited for his outstanding leadership. The honor recognizes superior frontline managers who are directly responsible for a portion of a firm, including recruiting, launching and supervising new advisors.

Chris is an active member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Agency Management Resource Group (AMRG), the Estate Planning Council of Delaware, and is a Board Member for New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and the University of Delaware Alumni Association.

His past awards include the Diamond Field Director of the Year and Securian’s Gold Field Director of the Year from Securian Financial Group which earned him invitations to Securian’s Leaders Conferences.

Chris has been instrumental in establishing DSFG’s Medical Professionals Division. He was recently recognized in “Medical Economics” magazine as one of the “2010 Best Financial Advisers for Doctors.”

Personal
Chris resides in Hockessin with his wife Tammy and his children, Michael and Julia. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and golf.
