Form 1099 mailing date reminder
IRS Forms 1099 (B, DIV, INT, OID, and MISC) will be mailed on February 15, 2010 for accounts that have received income from regulated investment companies, including mutual funds, unit investment trusts (UITs), and real estate investment trusts (REITs). This will allow time for issuers to properly calculate and classify the income for tax reporting purposes and will help to reduce the likelihood that the client will receive a revised 1099.
