J. Paul Jones

Paul Jones is a Financial Advisor at Diamond State Financial Group. He has earned FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations as well as Life, Health, and Ethics Insurance licenses. Additionally, he has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) certification from the CFP Board of Standards, Inc. and his Chartered Financial Consultant® designation from the American College of Financial Services. Paul is a registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc. Paul is also a member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Paul’s main emphasis is working within the pre-retiree and retiree communities, as well as with helping owners of closely held businesses develop business succession plans. His mission is helping his clients secure their financial dignity for a lifetime.

Paul graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Agriculture, majoring in Agricultural Engineering Technology. He was registered as a Delaware Professional Engineer between 1987 and 2013. In addition to more than 10 years at Diamond State Financial Group, his career has involved 3 years as a lecturer at the University of Delaware, 11 years with the Delaware DNREC, 17 years in private practice engineering consulting with three (3) different firms, and seven (7) years involved with all phases of residential and commercial real estate development.

Paul was a member of the 1972 Fighting Blue Hens National Championship Football Team as well as the award-winning teams of ’73 and ’74. He is active in Rotary and enjoys hunting and golf.  He has been married for 52 years to the same wonderful woman and has three grown children.
